 GLC dropped
Hearing unconfirmed reports that Goldie Lookin' Chain have been dropped. Strange timing, but maybe the Big Brother thing hasn't been the spike in the arm the new album needed?
What does the future hold for GLC? Make us all laugh with your witty jokes about selling cheeseburgers below

I did speak to Adam Hussein a couple of days ago (WORSHIP ME) and he said they might be doing some sort of TV work. Dunno where this leaves them. I'd say a few of them (particularly Eggsy) should have no problems should the band go 'on hiatus'

A dubious link (friend's sister's boyfriend) is one of GLC and he says it's true.

Er, I just searched for 'glc dropped' and that came up.
I've only just realised that it wqas Jonathan King's website.
HERE IS A PUBLIC APOLOGY. It makes up for Rarg's Wakeman solo poting a few weeks back. Similarly upsetting.
Rumour has it that Wakeman is now being managed by Roger de Courcey.

"The band now plan to re-release the album on their own label and are planning a movie - "a comic caper" - that will be filmed in August and released next March..."

Their is a huge slice of Spinal Taps 'I envy us' bit in Conal's response to the band being dropped here
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/wales/south_east/4782000.stm
"Unfortunately the label we are on would prefer to spend money on James Blunt - work that one out"
Um, I'm not a pro like you Conal, but maybe he makes more of a profit than your one trick ponies.

Even funnier is the fact that Conal appears to consider himself a member of the band

"From our point of view, it doesn't make any odds. If anything, we have more freedom to do what we want to do now.
"They are fucking bastards," he added.
I think if James Blunt chose to release Back To Bedlam II as his second album (oh hang on, he has) it'd sell way more than 90,000. Can't really blame Atlantic for getting rid of the dead wood, especially when Safe As Fuck was as bad as it was. Wonder when The Darkness will go.

Best thing the GLC can do now is hunt for a reliable independent, keep up the media gobshite stuff so far as money will allow, and concentrate on writing a third album with some new ideas. I'm not convinced they are one-trick ponies, but Safe As Fuck certainly made them look that way
